Expectations Responses Compiled

The following lists were tabulated from a total of 101 responses received in regard to a questionnaire about expectations of Broadway members. The responses were grouped topically and the number shown represents the number of times that a topic was mentioned. Many respondents listed several expectations, thus the total numbers do not equal the numbers of cards returned.

Elders Request

Convinced that all people attending Broadway believe that we are to honor God in all we do, that we are to love each other, and that we should strive to develop a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ;  the elders suggest the following primary expectations that would in a practical way manifest the spirit that God desires in his people:

  • To pray.
  • To study God’s word.
  • To attend services regularly.
  • To participate in ministries/activities of the congregation.
  • To serve one another in a way that demonstrates compassion, forgiveness, and encouragement.
  • To contribute monetarily.
  • To participate in small group activities within the body (bible class, growth groups, prayer groups, accountability groups, etc.).
  • To live out our faith before others.

We ask that you consider these expectations and pray about them.  The elders believe that implementation of these activities will provide life to our vision of: Developing authentic community; Equipping for life and service; Glorifying God with spirit filled worship; and Telling the story.
