The team traveled from Lubbock to Cusco Peru, January 4. We visited the

congregations of Tinta, Curahuasi and Huancalle.

The purpose of the trip: to visit three congregations in the Cusco area.

The goal of the trip: 1) to fellowship with the men and women of these

congregations in order that we might know one another better, and 2) to gain a better understanding of how to pray in regard to their needs, hopes and dreams.

The trip was tremendously successful. Daily the men, Luis, Scott, Bill and

James would go out into the fields together with the men of the congregations to visit the various farms. They prayed together and discussed daily life and situations in regard to agriculture production in the region. This consortium aided in our collective understanding of the needs of our churches in regard to economics and resource.

The women on the other hand met at the church building for fellowship.

Maria, Linda and Joy taught Bible classes on “Women of the Bible”, as well as held discussions on “Today’s Women in the Church: Day to Day”. Of course that led to sharing examples from life experience with raising teenagers, being a Christian wife and mother. The reoccurring theme of ‘living a Christian life on this earth is difficult no mater where you live’ seemed to resound. We as North Americans were blessed with open eyes and hearts to our Peruvian brethren. The Peru brethren were blessed by our taking time to visit their homes.

Unfettered Christian love abounds! What Joy!
